Accounting
The word forensic means simply "for the courts",
and forensic accounting is a specialized field
of accounting focused on disputes or litigation.
Forensic accountants are often called upon to give
evidence at trial or other tribunals as an
expert witness. The Free Dictionary by Farlex defines an expert
witness as "a witness who
has knowledge not normally possessed by the average person concerning
the topic that he is
to testify about".
